Swedish pop legends Roxette are bringing their massive catalog of hits back to the Bay Area this fall, with a stop at Toyota Pavilion at Concord on October 3 as part of their 40th anniversary North American tour. For Bay Area fans who grew up on MTV-era staples like “The Look,” “Listen to Your Heart,” “Joyride,” and “It Must Have Been Love,” the Concord date promises to be one of the season’s biggest nostalgia-fueled pop events.
The 14-city run marks a new chapter for Roxette, led by founding member Per Gessle alongside acclaimed Swedish singer Lena Philipsson. The tour also serves as a heartfelt tribute to late Roxette vocalist Marie Fredriksson, whose death in 2019 deeply impacted fans around the world.
More than four decades after releasing their debut album, Roxette remains one of Sweden’s biggest international exports, selling over 80 million albums worldwide and scoring four Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles in the U.S. Their enduring popularity continues to grow in the streaming era, with “It Must Have Been Love” recently surpassing one billion Spotify streams.
The Concord show will feature support from Taylor Dayne and Nick Lowe with Los Straitjackets.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, May 29, with multiple presales launching earlier in the week.
