When Tom Morello changes plans, it’s never casual. The guitarist has canceled his Spring solo tour to join Bruce Springsteen for select dates on the “Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour,” kicking off March 31 in Minneapolis and wrapping May 27 in Washington, D.C.

The decision follows Morello’s DEFEND MINNESOTA! benefit concert, where Springsteen appeared as a surprise guest to debut “Streets of Minneapolis.” The moment underscored the shared urgency both artists feel in what Morello calls a “dangerous historical juncture.”

“Together, Bruce, the E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights,” Morello said in a statement.

The tour will hit major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and San Francisco’s Chase Center on April 13.
