San Francisco is closing out its 2025 free concert season with two standout events aimed at reenergizing the city through music. On September 7, Union Square hosts the debut of Poolside’s Daytime Disco, a sun-soaked dance party from DJ and SFSU alum Jeffrey Paradise. Then on September 13, EMPIRE 15 brings breakout acts like Shaboozey, Fireboy DML, and Red Leather to Civic Center Plaza in a celebration of the label’s rising impact on global music culture.
Presented by Another Planet Entertainment (APE) in partnership with the City of San Francisco, these free events are part of a larger effort to draw locals and tourists downtown through the power of live music. It caps off a season that’s seen shows with Portugal. The Man, Dirtybird, and EMPIRE’s Bay & Boots, all hosted in iconic public spaces. With more than music on the line, these concerts are a bold note in San Francisco’s ongoing comeback.
