Oakland’s own Foxtails Brigade is set to co-headline The Independent on Friday, January 31, 2025, alongside Whiskerman and Swiss. The show celebrates the band’s new release, Red Album—their first since the pandemic.
Packed with eight melodic, pop-forward tracks crafted in intimate bedroom sessions, Red Album showcases the band’s signature quirky instrumentation (nylon guitar, kitchenware percussion) while spotlighting catchy songwriting and Anton Patzner’s imaginative production. Standout tracks include the anthemic “Gimme A Sign” and the haunting “Forevermore.”
Frontwoman Laura Weinbach’s whimsical yet macabre storytelling shines throughout, including a dark reimagining of “My Favorite Things.”
