Alabama Shakes Returns After Eight Years with a Summer Tour and New Music

Alabama Shakes

After an eight-year hiatus, Alabama Shakes is making a triumphant return with a summer tour and new music on the horizon. The four-time GRAMMY® winners will kick off their North American run on July 16 in Chicago, hitting iconic venues like Red Rocks, Forest Hills Stadium with a stop at the Greek Theater in Berkeley on August 14.

Lead singer Brittany Howard, whose solo album WHAT NOW earned a GRAMMY® nomination, shared her excitement about reuniting with bandmates Heath Fogg and Zac Cockrell. “This band and these songs bring us so much joy. It’s been 10 years since Sound & Color and eight years since we played live, but we’re looking forward—not just back—with new music coming soon.”

The tour will feature special guests like Bahamas, Shannon & The Clams, and Lee Fields. A portion of ticket sales will support charitable causes via PLUS1. VIP packages and presale tickets will be available starting February 10, with general sales opening February 14.

Alabama Shakes first captured global attention in 2012 with Boys & Girls and solidified their legacy with Sound & Color. Now, their long-awaited return promises to reignite the magic.
